Forest Engineering Southern Africa (Fesa) is an association representing members of the South African Forestry Industry, focused on the development and promotion of Forest Engineering.

 Focus areas include:

  • Harvesting
  • Ergonomics
  • Roads
  • Transport

 

 

Within the broad area of Forest Engineering, Fesa has a number of objectives:

  1. To conduct and promote research and development aimed at improving the productivity of the South African Forestry Industry
  2. To create awareness and disseminate relevant information and literature
  3. To engage in relevant technology transfer initiatives
  4. To raise skills and increase efficiencies by promoting and supporting appropriate training
  5. T o promote maximum inter-organisational co-operation
  6. To promote quality, safety and environmental standards
